PORT
SERVICES
From May 1995 when ro-ro
operations between the port of Venice (Marghera) and Greece were
first introduced and then developed, T.B. Service became the first
company loading/unloading and handling trailers at Venice San
Basilio, then later in the second half of 1999 and beginning of
2000 it began working with mixed passenger/cargo ships at Venice
Marittima and all cargo ships at the Molo B Terminal, Marghera.
In the context of this and other port activities, on 14 August
1998, Venice Port Authority authorised T.B. Service as a port
operator. Later, on 28 December 2001 it obtained authorisation
to provide specialist port services complementary and accessory
to the cycle of port operations as per art. 16 of Law no. 84/94.
With the purchase of special new wheeled and crawler-mounted machines
and vehicles, in 2001 T.B. Service began offering the loading/unloading
of bulk cargo, at the same time developing the container conveyance
service provided to leading companies operating in the port of
Marghera.
On February 1st, 2006, the constant and accelerating growth in
many port activities enabled T.B. Service, together with two other
companies, to obtain Port Authority authorisation (in accordance
with art. 16 of Law no 84/94) to operate as a Port company licenced
to act as subcontractor for general cargo loading, unloading,
transhipment, storage and handling using its own personnel and
equipment on contract to port companies authorised according to
art. 16/18 of Law no. 84/94
